GREEN SHOW HOMES INCORPORATE BELGARD® ENVIRONMENTAL COLLECTION
ORLANDO (Jan. 10, 2011) - Innovative green building design and products are being displayed in Orlando, Fla. this week through GreenBuilder® Magazine's annual VISION and ReVISION houses, and Belgard® Hardscapes permeable pavers are playing a key role.
Both homes incorporate Belgard Environmental Collection permeable pavers, utilizing Subterra and Eco Dublin for rainwater and runoff management in the driveway and walkways. Belgard permeable pavers allow rainwater to absorb into the ground, reducing runoff, filtering impurities and improving drainage.
The aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly pavers are also durable enough for vehicular traffic, giving the homes the benefit of green innovation without compromising beauty and style.
The VISION and ReVISION houses will be open January 12 through 15 with shuttles leaving from the NAHB International Builders' Show held at the Orlando Convention Center.
The VISION House is a new construction project with realistic, sustainable construction ideas integrated into the design and construction of the home. The ReVISION House is a deep energy retrofit which remodels an existing home that is below current new-construction standards for energy efficiency.
Both the VISION and ReVISION houses also incorporate the Suretouch® veneering system by Oldcastle, one of the newest innovative green products from Oldcastle Architectural.
